A healthy woman translates to a healthy church and that results to a healthy society. Christian women need to be mindful about their spiritual health. In addition, they should not ignore their physical health. That is the reason why they need a Christian women fitness program. This kind of program approaches the issue of health and wellness from a holistic standpoint.

Of course, spirituality should come above everything else. It should be right at the center of the life of a believer. The Scripture says clearly that both the food and the body will be destroyed. The spirit will remain forever. Being spiritual is vital. However, that does not mean that a believer should ignore the need to be very fit.

Spiritual health will be attained through reading the Bible and applying biblical messages in day to day life. For optimum spiritual health, a believer needs to pray on a daily basis. She should also fast a number of times in a year. Congregating with other believers a number of times in a year will also help with growing the spiritual health of an individual.

Achieving spiritual health is not the end of the road. The body should also be well. When one is sick, she will not be able to live her life to the full. This is very likely to interfere with the wellbeing of an individual. To boost the level of immunity and prevent diseases, there is the need for fitness.

No one can attain physical fitness if he is overweight or obese. Actually, the obesity pandemic is getting out of hand not just in Western countries such as Canada and the United States of America but also in developing countries. Having extra layers of fat in the body will increase the risk of dying from a number of diseases including heart disease.

The number one cause of lifestyle diseases is leading a sedentary lifestyle. Believers need to desist from sedentary habits such as watching TV for too long and playing video games for many hours. Instead, they should spend more time outdoors meeting with other believers, converting unbelievers as well as playing sports such as football, basketball, hockey, and swimming.

A believer who thinks she is unfit needs a fitness program. It will be good to have a program that has been custom made for personal needs, tastes, and programs. Actually, the program in question will involve exercising on a regular basis. However, one should not exercise all the days of the weeks. There should be resting days to help the muscles to recover.

A vital part of being a Christian is leading a moral life. That is what will make it possible to enjoy a good life on earth and to have an amazing after life in heaven. On top of exercising the highest level of morality, a believer should also keep his body in the right state so that to avoid an early death.
