No sport can be said to be perfectly safe. Once you are engaged in one, there are chances of knocks, falls, and collisions with fellow teammates or opponents. Such accident may end up injuring fragile body parts like the legs, knees, the shoulder and even the face. With this in mind, one must have adequate information about the varieties of sports protective wear for each sport.

These gears are designed to protect the different parts of the body. The head is normally made safe by wearing a helmet which minimizes and at best protects potential head injuries like fractured skulls and brain injuries. In sporting acts like cycling, boxing, and rugby one cannot take part without this gear. The gear is designed to shield one from a given force depending on the sport.

The face is another vulnerable part of the body that can be easily injured. Aside from the general face, there is the mouth too where an accident may cause broken teeth, fractured jaws or even lips getting bruises. It is for this matter that there is the mouth guard is usually advisable for contact sports like rugby, football and also boxing.

In sports, especially rugby and soccer one will never be safe if they will not do not have guards and pads in their safety apparels. The pads are responsible for protecting the neck, shoulders, chest, elbows and many such body parts from impacts. The guards can be made from hard plastic or soft padding. Each design will depend on the magnitude of impact one may get from a particular sport.

The kind of guard that is suitable for you depends on the sport that one takes part in which influences the kind of injury that one may be subjected to. The shin guard is commonly in football, soccer, and cricket which prevents the shins from injuries. There are others which protect the elbow and the knees.

There are the protective clothing and foot wears which are mainly for in-field games such as soccer, football, and rugby. The clothes worn are normally designed with unique cushioning so that they can prevent the impacts of falling. The footwear makes one play with ease, for example, the cycling shoes are aimed at relaxing the foot and the heel at the same time one to cycle faster.

Some sports need one to be very effective with their eyesight. These sport include cycling, surfing, and skiing. Any objects into the eyes or any sharp rays of light may be destructive causing accidents. This can be prevented by using protective glasses. In others, unique glasses can be designed for players with eye problems.

Possession of these apparels is not a guarantee that you are protected from any injuries. One has to follow the safety measures stipulated by the sport. In addition to this, each gear must be used to it rightful purpose. More so, the gear should be of ones size. If it is bigger or smaller it may make one more exposed to injuries.
