Vitor Ribeiro As A Great Mixed Martial Artist

In February, 1979 a great man was born in Brazil. This man won many awards in sports. Vitor Ribeiro is the name of this great man. He is a retired martial artist, who took part in lightweight division. He was a professional competitor and competed for DREAM, Shooto, Cage Rage, K-1 HEROS, world fighting Alliance and Cage Force. This man is the former champion of Cage Rage Lightweight and also Shooto World Lightweight.

His name became known in different parts of world immediately he commenced participating in mixed martial arts. His name was not known only because he took part in these sports, but because he performed excellently. He is actually, one of the best grapplers in Mixed Martial Arts. Ribeiro is also known by the name Shaolin. His fellow training partners started calling him this name while was training at BJJ.

Shaolin was just 14 years old when he started his career. His urge to commence going for a gym was triggered when he was beaten by a fellow schoolmate. The beating during the fight made him very annoyed and he started going for gym immediately. His talents became vivid clear while he was attending the gym. While was seventeen years, he was competing in the adult category and won a world competition. He was declared second in nationals and in Pan Ams.

One of the factors that that revealed that this was actually a talent man, is his ability to fight with adults while was in teens. He won black belt immediately when he reached 18 years and this was a great achievement that broke a record. In the following year, he performed greatly in Brazilian Nationals thus proving his mentor right.

Within lightweight division, Shaolin shone greatly. He won three world champions continuously. This indeed, amazed the people all over the world. These sterling performances were realized in 1999, 2001 and in 2000. After winning championship that took part in 2001, Shaolin changed to a new field MMA. While in this new field his efforts were fruitful. He became successful in events he took part in. In addition to that, his wrestling skills were boosted abundantly.

After many years of participation, Shaolin retired in 2013. However, he did not exit completely from sports because he ended up becoming a successful referee within the field he used to participate as a competitor. Shaolin is also doing very well as a referee.

These achievements have not come with ease. A lot of commitment and dedication has made him have all these achievements. Any event he took part in, he gave all what was required for better results. This is a good lesson that young people should learn from shaolin. They need to be committed and dedicated for any undertaking. With this, success will be attained with ease.

Perseverance is another trait that made shaolin successful in his career. He was not a man who could give up with ease. He remained focused until the end of the competition. His confidence and determination also played an important role in ensuring that he won most of the events that he took part in. The achievements of this man are well known within the City Mountainside, NJ.
