The success of a game has a lot to do with how well the players are prepared. Preparation involves working out the body and also the brain. The kind of training, however, is different from game to game with each of them having their unique aspect. This is seen clearly when it comes to Hockey conditioning drills. Its importance is however reaped fully when the individuals are taken through the workouts by a trainer who is experienced and also one has a passion of this game to impart excellence in the players.

It is through this that individuals get to improve mental and physical strength. A game requires one to not only be fit body wise but also mentally for there to be a win. The focus, therefore, starts with ensuring that their thinking is tuned towards the activity at hand before moving to other body parts. This ensures that there is a whole person ready for the function.

In most cases during the game players are injured due to lack of the defensive skills. This function helps the individuals know how to deal with the causes resulting in these problems. They are able to learn different mechanisms to use to avoid the injuries. Some of these are caused by small mistakes they make and lack of knowledge which is well tackled when these activities are undertaken.

The processes also help to ensure they are in a position to concentrate while in the field. Small mistakes could lead to massive losses as a result of having taken their mind away from what is happening. The processes are an instrument for measuring their level of this aspect and also works to find the ways that will ensure they improve.

It ensures that they have better decision making while on a game. In hockey every step counts which results from a series of interrelated decisions which impacts either positively or negatively to all other stakeholders. It is through this that the individuals are taught on ways to ensure that their individual decisions move towards winning and eliminate chances of error since each of them contributes towards the progress in a match.

This has been noted to help in team building. Any sport will not work if there is no teamwork. This is one of the elements that is given weight where they are taught how to value the contribution of each member. Failures when it comes to this are noted, and measures are taken to ensure that there is rectification to avoid a repetition of the same later.

This helps to increase confidence and also up self-esteem for the individuals. This is essential for them especially if they have suffered a continued period of losses. The session makes them realize that they can overcome the barriers that they could be having and move towards the achieving the set goals. It assists them to see the other side of failure by bringing out their best during the drills.

Lastly, this is important in ensuring that there is an increase in their flexibility. Remaining too intact has the danger of getting accidents and also loosing for an entire team. Elimination of this is done through the sessions where they get to move their body parts through aerobics classes. Most of the movement in this sport is turning that moving around hence the need for flexibility.
